Did you got a call from a phone number beginning with 140?

You or someone close to you got a call from number 140981051 or number starting with series 140. Comment your experience to make all aware. Someone from Bank called you onto your Mobile no. and said your ATM card or Debit card will be blocked as you have not submitted your KYC (Know your customer) verification. OR He/she says that your LIC policy or any policy has come for cancellation and this is a confirmation call from the department. He/She speaks in Hindi or English and will sound very professional initially. DO NOT fall PREY to these FRAUD/FAKE peoples by giving your ATM card numbers or policy number or DOB or any kind of details. If you identified the person on the other side is fake and you start counter-question, he/she will start abusing bad words in Hindi. Do not get into argument and disconnect the call. NDNC is National Do NOT Call Directory

The TRAI( Telecom regulatory authority of India) has started this directory for people who do not want to receive marketting calls or sms on their mobiles. To avail this previlage people need to get their mobile number registered online. If you have been listed your mobile numbers in this directory they will not receive any sms being sent from Vector as SMSes are barred from reaching NDNC listed numbers.

Energy Week: Overcharging mobile at night is National waste

Most of us have habit of keeping mobile for charging during while we are asleep. After 2 to 3 hours of charging, mobile battery is fully charged and for the rest part of night battery is getting overcharged. I personally follow 1080 cycle i.e charge when battery is 10% left and disconnect charger when battery is 80% charged.  This cycle increase battery life. Now coming to wastage of electricity by overcharging- Study says approximately 4-5watts are consumed per hour during overcharge of battery for rest of night which is very very less on personal level or family. Now Let's calculate - 4watts x 6hours of overcharge = 24 Watt-hours. Consider mobile users in India are 800 million and only 10% people have this habit = 8 crores people x 24 watt-hour =19.2 lakh KWattHrs wasted every night. (huge na???) Now this 1920 MWatt power is waste and Rs5 crore to create 1 MWatt power. Which in turn approx Rs10k crore. Don't open your mouth just avoid overcharging to increase batt

BUG in UBER app - No real free ride

Last week existing user also getting free ride confirmation message by applying code posted here... This code was applicable only for new users not for existing user. This was a bug in UBER app, unfortunately :( there was no real free ride available under your payment option.
